PALMER TWP., Pa. – A former furniture store in Palmer Township has been sold and will be converted into an auto repair shop.
According to Northampton County property records, an LLC connected to the commercial real estate firm Oldacre McDonald purchased the site at 2499 Northampton Street for $1.85 million.
The sale was recorded on April 13.
Oldacre McDonald is based in Tennessee and, according to its website, has developed more than 570 projects in 28 states, specializing in shopping centers, build-to-suit retail, restaurants and residential.
The property on Northampton Street, which is south of the 25th Street Shopping Center and adjacent to an existing AutoZone, most recently was a Just Furniture store.
A Dollar Tree also previously occupied the site.
Craig Beavers, Palmer Township’s planning director, told 69 News the next tenant will be Caliber Collision.
The project has already received township approval and is moving into the permitting process. There’s no timeline for when renovations will be complete.
Caliber specializes in auto collision and glass repairs. It already has several locations in the 69 News viewing area, including one in nearby Lower Nazareth Township.
