Dorney Park has announced its full lineup of events ahead of its opening day in May.
The amusement park in South Whitehall Township will have several events throughout its season, including the new “Splash! Water Parade,” which kicks off in August, according to a park news release. Dorney Park opens May 8, and Wildwater Kingdom opens May 23.
Available this season are more than 100 rides, including the record-breaking Iron Menace roller coaster, the kid-friendly Planet Snoopy and Wildwater Kingdom, the water park that received refreshed attractions and new amenities last year, according to the release. There will also be live music throughout the season.
Here is the schedule of events:
• May 8: Opening Day
• May 23: Wildwater Kingdom opens
• Saturdays and Sundays between June 20-July 26 (except July 4 and 5): Viva La Fiesta, a Latin-inspired festival
• July 4 and 5: Star-Spangled Nights, a patriotic celebration with fireworks, entertainment and festivities to celebrate America’s 250th year
• Select dates between Aug.1-23: Splash! Water Parade, a water-themed parade with floats and music, as well as interactive zones along the route
• Select nights between Sept. 18-Oct. 31: Halloween Haunt, the enhanced haunted experience with a new, to-be-announced attraction
• Weekends between Sept. 19-Nov. 1: Tricks and Treats, a family friendly daytime fall celebration with classic characters, seasonal treats and Halloween activities
Additionally, Dorney Park guests can purchase Gold Season Passes, which gives them access to the park and several other East Coast parks, including Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Wild Safari, Hurricane Harbor New Jersey and Kings Dominion, according to the release.
