BETHLEHEM, Pa. – One person was taken to the hospital Thursday night after a residential fire in Northampton County. 

At approximately 8:17 p.m., Bethlehem fire, EMS, and police departments responded to a residential fire in the 2100 block of Princeton Avenue in the city of Bethlehem.

A resident was still inside the home while crews were headed to respond to the fire, according to Bethlehem fire marshal Craig Baer. 

Upon arrival, fire crews began searching the home to locate the resident. 

The resident was found unresponsive on the second floor of the home, according to officials. They were removed from the home and emergency medical treatment was given by the city EMS. 

The resident was transported to the hospital, according to officials. 

The Bethlehem Fire Department was assisted by the City of Allentown Fire Department and Nancy Run Fire Company.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the city of Bethlehem Fire Marshal’s Office.
