One person was injured Thursday night in a fire in Bethlehem.

Firefighters were called about 8:15 p.m. to the 2100 block of Princeton Avenue, off Hellertown Road, for a report of a house fire, the city fire department said in a news release.

When crews arrived, they saw smoke and flames coming from the second floor. Firefighters entered the home and found the resident, unresponsive.

The resident was taken out of the home, and first responders began treating them at the scene. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
