The senior ran for 370 yards on 13 carries and scored five touchdowns against Riverside’s top-rated defense in the LFC Division III. He had touchdown runs of 44, 79, 66, 61, and 77 yards to lead the Lions to the division championship.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
RYDER HOBART, Susquehanna
The senior had 16 solo tackles and four assists, including a tackle for a loss, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery on one kickoff return. He also blocked a punt for the Sabers in a 21-20 win over Holy Cross to avoid a winless season.

COLIN OWENS, Lackawanna Trail
The senior played physically on the offensive line and helped the Lions rush for 501 yards in a 40-14 win that clinched the LFC Division III championship. He also dominated the game defensively as the starters limited Riverside’s high-powered offense to 75 total yards in 35 plays.

A powerful and accurate kicker, he made all seven of his extra points and drilled six touchbacks on kickoffs deep into the end zone in a 49-19 win over Scranton.

PLAY OF THE WEEK
CHASE ZIMMERMAN, North Pocono
Facing a fourth-and-7 from the Scranton Prep 11-yard line, Zimmerman caught a touchdown pass from Cole West to give the Trojans the lead, 24-21, with 4:09 remaining in the game. North Pocono won and finished the regular season 10-0 for the first time since 1991.

GABE DUDA, Honesdale
The senior nearly broke the LIAA and school record for rushing yards in a game when he had 384 yards and scored five touchdowns in a 41-40 win over West Scranton. Honesdale’s Shane Smith has both records at 390 yards in a game against North Pocono in 2003.

The two programs battled back and forth right through the final minutes. Scranton Prep’s Will McPartland gave his team a 21-17 lead with 8:23 remaining in the game. North Pocono responded and scored on fourth down for a 24-21 win that preserved a 10-0 regular season.
