Former Notre Dame defensive tackle Gabriel Rubio has been taken by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Rubio was taken 29th in the sixth round of the draft, or 210th overall.

Rubio played in 39 games over five seasons with the Fighting Irish, racking up 27 solo tackles and 39 assisted, for 66 combined. He had seven tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, three passes defended and one forced fumble. He did miss six games in 2025 due to injury.
