Reading’s Halloween on Penn event has been rescheduled for Wednesday, the city announced.
The event takes place in the 600 block of Penn Street from 5 to 8 p.m. Free parking is available from 4 to 9 p.m. at the South Penn Garage, 626 Cherry St., courtesy of the Reading Parking Authority.
“The city of Reading invites you to join Mayor Eddie Moran and hundreds of residents for a spooktacular evening at the fifth annual Halloween on Penn event,” the city said in a release. “This festive gathering promises a ghoulishly good time for all ages.”
Highlights include dozens of vendors offering free candies, prizes and Halloween goodies; pumpkin decorating stations; and Halloween-themed photo booth.
Costumes are encouraged.
The event originally set for Thursday was rescheduled due to the weather forecast.
