The Binghamton Rumble Ponies split a doubleheader with the Erie SeaWolves Sunday afternoon at Mirabito Stadium. 

Game 1 – Erie wins, 5-1 

The Rumble Ponies were held to just two hits in the loss. Lefty Jonathan Santucci started on the mound and struck out eight while allowing four runs over 5.1 innings pitched. 

Game 2 – Binghamton wins, 5-2

Marco Vargas finished a home run short of the cycle for Binghamton. He went 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. A.J. Ewing added two hits in the win. 

Binghamton is now 8-12 overall. The Rumble Ponies begin a series at New Hampshire Tuesday night.
