Penguins defeat Flyers in Game 5 of playoff series in Pittsburgh
The Pens made it out of enemy territory and survived to see Game 5 in the playoffs back here at home. Head coach Dan Muse says that they are taking *** step in the right direction. So we need to continue to elevate. We need to continue to have more of those positives. And we need to make sure that we’re tidying up in some areas as well. Don’t count the Pens out. After being down 3 to 0 in the series, the Penguins avoided *** Flyers sweep with *** 4 to 2 win Saturday night. That looked more like our game, and you know it’s, it’s probably taken us 3 games. To look like ourselves *** bit. Captain Sidney Crosby scored first and later sent the puck to Chris Letang, who flew past the Flyers to score the winning goal. But now they have to bring the Heat at home to make it to Game 6. Obviously going home, it doesn’t get any easier. You know, with every game in the series, um, it’s more difficult, but, uh, we’ve got some life and we’ve got to take advantage of the opportunity of, of going back home now. The win and home ice advantage hopefully giving the team the edge going into tonight. There’s the regular season, I always say, and then there’s another level, and that’s the playoff hockey, and it’s just. North-South hockey, and it’s fun hockey. You’re playing after the season and there’s nothing better. Pens take on the Flyers tonight at 7 o’clock right here at PPG Paints Arena.
