(WHTM)– More than 6,100 items of unclaimed property are set to be auctioned off in Pennsylvania this week.
Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced Pennsylvania’s next unclaimed property auction, scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, and Thursday, October 30.
According to the treasury, the online auction will feature 6,120 items safeguarded in the treasury’s vault, including diamond rings, gold and silver coins, gold bracelets, and more.

“I’m excited about this week’s auction and for Pennsylvanians to see some of the unique items from Treasury’s vault. With support from our auctioneer partners, Pook & Pook, these auctions are a great opportunity to release some very interesting items,” Garrity said.
Anyone interested in registering or viewing the unclaimed property available this week can visit the Pook and Pook website.
The Pennsylvania Treasury searches for the owners of each item for at least three years before auctioning them off. They added that military decorations and memorabilia are never auctioned off.
“Our team works diligently to identify the owners of unclaimed property and return it to them, but sometimes, we must make room for incoming items in our vault by auctioning items. The proceeds from any item sold remain available for a rightful owner to claim, no matter how much time passes,” Garrity said.
The treasury says it has returned more than $1 billion in unclaimed property since 2021.
