A 19-year-old man who just graduated from a Capital Region high school last year was killed in a motorcycle crash on Monday, April 27, police said.
Mason Ruggaber, of Delmar, was riding his motorcycle when he collided with an SUV on Route 9W in Glenmont, the Bethlehem Police Department said. Ruggaber graduated from Bethlehem Central High School in June 2025.
A 53-year-old Glenmont man driving the SUV was transported to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, cops said. Ruggaber was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ruggaber was traveling northbound on Route 9W, and the SUV was traveling southbound when they collided near Magee Drive, authorities said. The crash remains under investigation.
