Freda Genova
OBITUARY
Freda Genova, 102, passed away April 19, 2026, in her Reading residence.
Her husband Frank Genova passed away on May 20, 2002.
She was born in New London, Connecticut, a daughter of the late
Albert Ferri and Nancy (Bernacchi) Spadafora.
Freda was employed at the former Ciotti Markets, West Lawn and
Mr. Food/Getty Mart of Wyomissing before her retirement.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church.
In her spare time, Freda enjoyed playing bingo, traveling and was
well known for her excellent Pizzelle making skills.
Freda is survived by a daughter, Patricia A., wife of John A. Beil of Muhlenberg Township.
There are also many nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by two brothers; Joseph Ferri and Thomas Ferri and by
two sisters; Maria Ferri and Josephine Rinker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 24th at 10:00 AM
in Holy Rosary Church, 237 Franklin St., Reading, PA 19602.
Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may pay their condolences
on Thursday, April 23rd from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gallman-Sonoski
Funeral Home, 910 Chestnut St. Reading, PA 19602 and again on Friday
from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions
