Proposed East Penn budget would raise taxes for average homeowner | Allentown Area

EMMAUS, Pa. – Taxes may go up in the East Penn School District next fall.

Monday night, the school board adopted a preliminary budget for the 2026-2027 school year.

The proposed $213 million spending plan includes a 4.1% property tax hike.

That would raise the bill by about $194 a year for the average home.

Officials say the property tax rebate program will continue.
