NAZARETH, Pa. – Nazareth Borough Police have arrested a woman accused of stabbing a man.
On Monday, officers were dispatched to a S. Broad Street residence for an incident involving a man bleeding heavily.
Upon arrival, police located an adult male inside the home suffering from a deep stab wound to the torso. The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital where he remains in stable but serious condition.
Officers also located an adult female at the scene, later identified as 35-year-old Raquel James.
A kitchen knife believed to have been used in the incident was recovered inside the home, and the investigation revealed that the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute between James and the victim.
During the altercation, James allegedly armed herself with the knife and confronted the victim. A physical struggle ensued, during which the man sustained a stab wound.
James is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and related offenses.
She was taken into custody, arraigned and committed to Northampton County Prison on $250,000 bail.
