NEWTOWN TWP., Pa. – A Warrington man is facing attempted homicide charges following a road rage-related shooting in Bucks County.
41-year-old Christopher Corbi is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and related offenses.
Around 6:30 p.m. yesterday, police responded to a reported shooting in the area of Newtown Bypass and Woodbourne Road.
Police say two vehicles were traveling east on Newtown Bypass during the initial encounter, and then south onto Woodbourne Road.
The female driver of one of the vehicles was transported for treatment of a gunshot wound to the wrist and is in stable condition, police say.
Within minutes of the shooting, police say Corbi and his vehicle were located at Washington Crossing Road (Route 532) and Stoopville Road, where he was taken into custody.
Investigators say a firearm was located and recovered and is currently being processed by the Newtown Township Police Criminal Investigation Division.
Online court records list Corbi as in custody on $1,000,000 bail.
