PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WHTM) — A young girl was separated from her family during the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh this past weekend but with the help of the Pennsylvania State Police she was reunited.
More than 800,000 people attended the NFL Draft and emergency situations can quickly get out of hand, something PSP knows.

“In a split second, things can happen. Troopers located a young girl who had become separated from her family,” Pennsylvania State Police said in a social media post.
PSP said air and ground technology were used to look for the girl’s family. Thankfully a happy ending as the girl was quickly reunited with her family.

A state-of-the-art 100-foot-tall radio tower was unveiled by PSP a few days before the draft. The radio tower helped quicken and strengthen the response time of first responders.

A total of 805,000 attendees were at the NFL Draft, breaking the prior attendance record of 775,000 in 2024 when the draft was in Detroit. The draft went on for three days from Thursday, April 23, to Saturday, April 25.
