Crews from around Berks County responded to a three-alarm fire in Lower Alsace Township Tuesday afternoon.

According to emergency dispatches, the fire broke out at about 3 p.m. at 500 Carsonia Ave. in Pennside. Initial reports indicated that the occupants of the building got out safely. Crews were still on the scene late Tuesday afternoon.
