Spencer Jones hit a grand slam and a solo home run to lead the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders past the Buffalo Bisons, 7-1, on Sunday at PNC Field.

The RailRiders also secured the series victory, 4-2.

Jones gave the RailRiders a 1-0 lead in the first with a solo shot to right that traveled 422 feet.

Buffalo answered in the second when Je’Von Ward hit an RBI single to center to tie the score at 1.

In the bottom of the fourth, Seth Brown launched a two-run homer to right-center, and Jones added a 406-foot grand slam to center later in the inning for the 7-1 lead.

RailRiders pitchers did the rest, as Danny Watson, Zach Messinger, Dylan Coleman, Rafael Montero, Kervin Castro and Bradley Hanner combined on a six-hitter — allowing one run and one walk while striking out 10.

The RailRiders will head to Polar Park for a six-game set with the Worcester Red Sox starting Tuesday at 6:05 p.m.
