BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Interim Schools Superintendent Victoria Velazquez sent an email to the Bensalem Township community to address threats made to schools in the region on Monday.
Velazquez said that while the school district was spared from the “swatting” call threats that others received, she wanted to keep families informed.
School districts in Bucks, Montgomery, Schuylkill, and Chester counties, and others in the Philadelphia region reported receiving threatening fake emergency phone calls on Monday, which are intended to prompt a large emergency response.
“As always, any potential threats are taken seriously, investigated immediately, and addressed in accordance with our established safety protocols,” Velazquez said.
