Annmarie E. Andrejko, senior vice president and senior relationship manager, will succeed Peter J. Danchak as regional president for Northeast PA and head of corporate banking for the region, bank officials announced Tuesday.
Danchak — PNC’s longest-serving regional president — will retire July 25 following a 40-plus year career in banking, including 26 years as regional president, officials added.
“Pete’s commitment to PNC and to serving the needs of his hometown, as well as the entire market, has been nearly limitless,” said Laura Gamble, PNC Office of the Regional Presidents Northeast territory executive. “His passion for working with our clients and leading our support for community organizations to ensure the long-term vitality of NEPA has helped PNC achieve the dual objective of growing our local business and creating impact for the region. Pete’s contributions to PNC’s local strategy and culture, as well as his extensive engagement in advocating for high-quality early education to ensure the region’s future leaders succeed in and out of the classroom have established a legacy of excellence that will continue to inspire and endure for years to come.”
Danchak — who received an accounting degree from the University of Scranton — serves as co-chair of The Scranton Plan, the economic development marketing affiliate of The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, which aims to address workforce development, business recruitment, site readiness, and regional marketing.
A past co-chair of the Pennsylvania Early Learning Commission, Danchak recently joined the board of Highmark Health, bank officials noted.
In the coming weeks, Danchak will transition his responsibilities to Andrejko, who brings nearly 31 years of PNC experience and market knowledge to the role, bank officials said.

Andrejko — who earned a bachelor of science degree in finance and economics from the University of Scranton — joined PNC in 1995 as a financial analyst and quickly took on a series of increased responsibilities within the NEPA Corporate Banking team, bank officials said. In 2013, she assumed the role of senior vice president and senior relationship manager, leading PNC’s local relationships with middle market and large corporate banking clients.
Andrejko serves as vice chair of the board of the Family Service Association of Northeast Pennsylvania and as a member of the board of directors and finance committee for Step by Step, bank officials said.
