ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office has a new pet.
On Tuesday, District Attorney Gavin Holihan introduced us to the lizard he’s keeping in his office. Her name is Don Julia.
The bearded dragon previously belonged to a 14-year-old girl who needed to be placed in foster care, but the facility she was going to doesn’t take pets. So Holihan said he used his own money to buy a tank, but he said the lizard actually spends more time out of the tank than in it.
During the work day, he lets Don Julia crawl through his potted plants, and sun herself by the window. Staff members also take her on tours through the office.
Holihan said he plans to give Don Julia back to her original owner once the girl can care for her again.
