ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The principal of an Allentown middle school has been put on paid administrative leave after an incident in the city this weekend.

In a message sent to the school’s community, officials say that effective Saturday, Stephanie Williams, the principal of Harrison-Morton Middle School, has been placed on paid administrative leave for an indefinite period.

Executive Director of Instructional Leadership Arcelius Brickhouse will serve as acting principal until further notice, according to the district.

“We are confident that he will provide strong leadership and support to students, staff, and families in the interim,” the message states.

The District says it cannot elaborate on any further details about the incident that occurred this weekend because it’s a confidential personnel matter.
