Teens accused of barricading woman inside Pittsburgh Sephora, beating her

Six teenagers are accused of beating a woman who they followed into a Pittsburgh Sephora after barricading her inside.Pittsburgh Police were called to the Sephora on the 100 block of Shady Avenue in East Liberty for a reported fight. When they arrived to the scene, authorities found a woman who was bleeding heavily from the head.The victim told police she had briefly engaged with the group of girls, who were between 14 and 17, while passing a bus stop.The woman said when the girls began to follow and taunt her, she ducked into a bathroom inside a business before they followed her into a Sephora. The teenagers allegedly began to scream at her inside the store, threw glass bottles and makeup products, punched and kicked her before beating her with a metal sign.Officials say while some of the teens beat the woman, others barricaded the Sephora door so the victim could not leave. The teenagers were all processed as juveniles and face multiple charges including aggravated assault, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct/fighting, simple assault and criminal conspiracy. Authorities say three of them will be charged with providing a false identity. Damage to the store has been estimated at around $30,000.
