SCRANTON, Pa. — A bridge in Scranton is set to be closed for months.

PennDOT closed the Linden Street Bridge between 7th Avenue and Mifflin Street over the Lackawanna Railroad Authority and the Lackawanna River on Wednesday for a rehabilitation project.

Officials say the bridge will remain closed through the end of the year.

A detour using 7th Avenue and Lackawanna Avenue will be in place.

Pedestrians will also be able to access the bridge throughout the project.
