A prayer walk for healing, unity and revival is being organized in Erie.

Pastors, ministers and other spiritual leaders and people of faith are invited to join the event, according to a news release from Greater Calvary Full Gospel Baptist Church. The walk will include prayer at five stops in the city and will be aimed at uniting the faith community in one voice of prayer for deliverance, healing and justice for all people and lands.

“This is a call beyond denomination, race or title,” the news release stated. “Our city, our country, our government needs prayer more than ever. We are gathering to take our faith beyond the walls and into the streets, declaring God’s peace, justice and revival over our communities.”

When is the prayer walk?

The prayer walk will take place Nov. 1 from 3 to 6 p.m.

The starting location will be Greater Calvary and the event will end in Perry Square.

Where are the stops?

Prayers will be offered throughout the walk for justice, police, local and federal government employees and leaders, judges, schools, families and neighborhoods, organizers said.

The walk will begin at 2624 German St. The church is near the site where Marchello Woodard was fatally shot July 2 by a state parole officer, event organizers said.

The walk will then head to the Pennsylvania Parole Office at 221 E. 18th St.

The next stop will be the Erie Federal Courthouse at 17 S. Park Row.

Walkers will then move to City Hall at 626 State St.

The next stop will be the Erie County Courthouse at 140 W. Sixth St.

The walk will end in Perry Square with prayers for the country, all government leaders but specifically thepresident of the United States, all governmental employees and justice for all globally, organizers said.

Who can participate?

Organizers said all are welcome at the gathering that seeks to bring together churches, ministries andcommunity leaders from across the city to intercede for divine healing, restoration and transformation.
