The Erie County Legislature on Thursday will be talking about how to give residents some relief at the pump.
During a mid-day Finance and Management Committee meeting, the legislature says it will propose capping Erie County’s share of the gas tax.
It says the move could help residents during a time when the gas prices continue to rise.
The county made a similar measure in 2022 when it exempted any county gas tax over $2 per gallon.
