Police accuse Erie mom of driving to Corry for drug deal when fatal fire broke out
New information has been obtained in the case against the Erie mom whose children were trapped in a burning home and later died while she was allegedly out selling drugs.
Thursday, we got our hands on the criminal complaint and it further spelled out what investigators said happened in the moments leading up to that fatal fire.
According to investigators, 22-year-old Danozjna Williams told police she left for about five minutes to run to Walmart and her brother was watching her kids.
But investigators said that’s not true. Williams’ children were home alone for about 50 minutes while she drove to Corry to sell $300 worth of fentanyl and/or heroin.
In addition, the buyer allegedly told police she was paying Williams a $60 delivery fee.
While Williams was driving to Corry her apartment caught fire.
Her 5 and 3-year-old children were pronounced dead at an Erie hospital. Her 5-month-old was flown to Pittsburgh, where she later died.
There is currently an active arrest warrant for Williams.
