Postal service letter carriers are hoping you’ll help them deliver big for the Helping Harvest Food Bank.
Saturday is the annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive.
Letter carriers will collect non-perishable food items along their routes in Berks and Schuylkill counties and deliver the food to Helping Harvest.
To take part, just leave donated items in a bag near your mailbox on Saturday.
Organizers say it’s the nation’s largest single-day food drive.
According to Helping Harvest, the National Association of Letter Carriers brought more than 90,000 pounds of food through its doors from last year’s event.
