Rides, games, and thrills: Dorney Park opens its gates Friday | Allentown Area

S. WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – Friday is the day for amusement park lovers in the Lehigh Valley. Dorney Park is set to open for the first time this year.

The park opens Friday at 10:30 a.m.

Park officials say their biggest tip to avoid lines is to get there early and head straight to your favorite coaster.

And summer is right around the corner, with Wildwater Kingdom opening on May 23.

Crews have been working around the clock to get the park ready and will continue working until gates open.
