A Peckville woman showed up at her sister’s house Monday and threatened to kill her, according to a criminal complaint.

Latoya Thompson told police officers she took the threat seriously because it was consistent with her sister’s previous behavior.

Menynn Saintpreux, 36, of 613 Keystone Ave., faces charges of making terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.

According to the criminal complaint, city officers responded to a Beech Street residence in Scranton for a report a woman with a knife involved in a domestic dispute.

Thompson told officers Saintpreux stood in front of her residence, yelling for her to come outside and fight, but she refused out of concern for her own safety.

Saintpreux then took out a knife and held it in a threatening manner, police said

At one point, Saintpreux said she was going to kill Johnson, while holding the knife, according to the complaint.

Takia Thompson, who was with Latoya Thompson inside the home, told officers she witnessed Saintpreux holding a knife and making threats. Takia Thompson told officers she had also feared for her life.

Saintpreux remains in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of  $5,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. on May 18 before District Judge George Seig.
