The Scranton Knights are taking a road trip to take on the North Pocono Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Scranton put up the most runs they have all season on Friday. They put the hurt on Scranton Prep with a sharp 16-5 win. The Knights not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19, 2025 (when they won 14-3).

Trinity Gillern spent all six innings played on the mound, and it’s clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Rhylee Bell was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two triples. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sophia Leonori, who went 4-for-5 with two triples, five RBI, and one run.

Scranton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. That’s the best OBP they’ve posted all season.

Meanwhile, North Pocono waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins… but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Warriors as they made off with a 13-1 victory. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Amelia Bell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Bell was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That’s the most doubles she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, North Pocono got a big performance out of Avarie Roscioli, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Cameron Forgione was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Scranton’s record now sits at 3-12. As for North Pocono, their record is now 15-4.

Scranton might still be hurting after the 23-1 defeat they got from North Pocono when the teams last played back in April. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We’ll find out soon enough.
