Days away from Halloween, AEW is facing a spooky situation.
Ticket sales for Collision on Nov. 15 in Erie, PA, are moving at a mummy’s pace. According to ticket tracker WrestleTix, just over 900 tickets have been distributed for the show at the Erie Insurance Arena, which is set to host over 2,800 fans.
Like a black cat crossing company president Tony Khan’s path, AEW isn’t the only local attraction that night — as luck would have it. Comedian Kelly MacFarland, with magician-mentalist duo, The Alans, is performing that night. A concert at the Erie Philharmonic featuring the music of Gustav Mahler and the rom-com play Journey to the Poles of Inaccessibility are also competing for attention that weekend.
Additionally, locals might also opt for a nostalgic night in, revisiting That Thing You Do!, the 1996 comedy about Erie’s fictional 1960s one-hit wonders, The Wonders.
With just over two weeks to go, a last-minute box office rush is possible. However, amid such stiff competition, the odds feel eerily low. According to WrestleTix, AEW’s previous trip to Erie at the same arena in December 2023 — also a Collision event — drew over 2,000 fans.
