Police: Latrobe man charged after gun found in carry-on bag at Pittsburgh International Airport

FOR THAT GRAND OPENING TO HAPPEN. DAN RUBY AND SIMON LOFT SAY THE NEXT TIME THEY FLY, THEY WILL BE USING THE NEW AIRPORT TERMINAL. THEY CAN’T WAIT TO SEE AND USE IT FOR THE FIRST TIME. I’VE HEARD THAT THE SPACE IS MUCH CALMER AND AT THE SAME TIME, LIKE MORE ARTISTIC ALMOST. SO I’M EXCITED TO SEE THAT AND JUST GETTING THE CHANCE TO WALK THROUGH THE WHOLE PART THAT’S BEEN CORDONED OFF. LIKE I’M READY TO SEE WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING BACK THERE. THIS IS WHAT THE NEW AIRPORT TERMINAL LOOKS LIKE. TOMORROW, 2500 PEOPLE WILL USE IT FOR THE FINAL TEST RUN BEFORE THE GRAND OPENING. RIGHT NOW, THE NEW TERMINAL LOOKS LIKE IT’S READY FOR TRAVELERS. BUT THE AIRPORT AUTHORITY IS USING THE TEST RUN TO MAKE SURE ALL PARTS CAN WITHSTAND THE STRESS OF AIRPORT TRAFFIC. PEOPLE WILL BE COMING IN. THEY’LL BE ASSIGNED CERTAIN AIRLINES. SO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT WILL BE CHECKING IN AMERICAN BREEZE, DELTA SPIRIT OVER HERE, PEOPLE ON THIS SIDE WILL BE CHECKING IN WITH SOUTHWEST, UNITED, JETBLUE, AND THEN PASSENGERS WILL ACCESS AN UPGRADED TSA CHECKPOINT. IT FEATURES 12 LANES AND SCANNING MACHINES THAT LOOK LIKE JET ENGINES. THEY’RE EQUIPPED WITH THE LATEST SCANNING TECHNOLOGY. PASSENGERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO CARRY LIQUIDS AND NOT HAVE TO TAKE OFF SHOES. TEST RUN VOLUNTEERS WILL ALSO BE GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS AS IF THEY ARE ON ARRIVING FLIGHTS. THAT MEANS THEY WILL WALK TOWARDS BAGGAGE CLAIM THAT WILL ALSO BE IN OPERATION. A LOT OF FOLKS ARE BRINGING THEIR OWN BAGS. THEY’RE GOING TO BE GOING THROUGH JUST LIKE THEY WOULD ON A NORMAL DAY, AND THEN THEY’LL COME TO THE ARRIVAL SECTION AND THEY’LL CLAIM THEIR BAGS DOWN IN BAGGAGE CLAIM. THIS TEST RUN TOMORROW WILL DETERMINE WHAT ADJUSTMENTS HAVE TO BE MADE BEFORE THE ACTUAL GRAND OPENING. COVERING ALLEGHENY COUNTY AT PITT
