OBITUARY
Leanne Thomas, 55, of Dupont, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family Thursday evening after a courageous battle. Leanne is most remembered for her unwavering love for family and most of all her husband of 34 years, Mark Thomas, of Dupont.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Edward Hafner Sr. and Emily Waxman Supeck. A graduate of Valley View High School, class of 1989. Leanne devoted her life to caring for others and spent many years working in healthcare. She enjoyed 80’s hair metal, cooking for her family, and true crime shows.
Leanne is survived by her children; Mark Thomas Jr. and partner Mare, Dylan Thomas and wife Julianna, and Ryleigh Thomas; granddaughter Willow Thomas; a sister Jennifer Rowe and her husband Jamie; nephews Jamie Rowe and Jakob Rowe; and niece Jacey Rowe. She was also a loving great aunt to Jamie, Forrest, Sully and Sydney. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Hafner Jr.
The funeral will be held Wednesday with a blessing service at 6pm at Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., Jessup. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 6pm. For online condolences go to the funeral home website.
