(WHTM) — A central Pennsylvania rock band is thanking its fans after having a song that reached number one on a Billboard chart for the first time.
“Drag Me,” the latest single by From Ashes To New, is atop Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, followed by Dayseeker’s “Crawl Back To My Coffin,” Shinedown’s “Safe And Sound,” The Pretty Reckless’ “When I Wake Up” and Sleep Theory’s “Words are Worthless.”
The band is from Lancaster County. They dropped “Drag Me” back in December, along with another song “New Disease,” and the band released its newest album, “Reflections,” in April.
Taking to Facebook, the band made a post Sunday about the song making it to number one.
“We’ve never had a #1 at Rock Radio until now. To every station that took a chance on this song, every fan that streamed it, shared it, and requested it, everyone who helped us bring it to life, and to the team behind us that worked tirelessly to get it to the top…this belongs to all of us,” the band wrote.
