Queen City Vendors to hold grand reopening
An Olyphant business is growing.
Queen City Vendors, a community-based vendor variety store, is celebrating its grand reopening Saturday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store opened at 210 W. Lackawanna Ave. in November.
The grand opening will showcase a newly expanded space, designed to support more local vendors and offer a greater variety of unique items to shoppers.
At the event, customers will be able to sign up for the store’s newest addition, paint parties. This offers another creative outlet for the local community to gather and connect.
The grand reopening event will feature basket raffles, door prizes, free hot dogs and snow cones with purchase from noon to 2 p.m. There will also be music, food and family-friendly activities.

Veterans Promise to hold first annual Designer Purse Bingo
Veterans Promise, a Dickson City nonprofit that helps veterans and their families, will host its first annual Designer Purse Bingo on Saturday, May 23, at the Dickson City Community Center, 824 Main St.
Doors open at 1 p.m. and games begin at 2 p.m. There will be 12 games and four specials, along with a basket raffle, door prizes and 50/50. Tickets are $40 for six cards, with each having 12 games. Specials will be available for an additional charge.
The Veterans Promise office is across the hall and will be hosting an open house during the event. Snacks, beverages and Veterans Promise merchandise will be available for purchase.
