The Redbank Valley Historical Society and Redbank Valley Public Library will host a Boston Tea Party event Saturday, July 18, beginning at 2 p.m., at the Redbank Valley History Center on Broad Street in New Bethlehem.
This year’s event theme celebrates America250, bringing history to life with costumed interpreters portraying colonists and British officials involved in the events leading up to the Boston Tea Party.
Local community members will take on notable Revolutionary War roles, including Paul Revere and Samuel Adams.
This event is open to all ages. Guests will enjoy a menu of finger sandwiches, tea cookies and a selection of fine teas.
Revolutionary War displays will be available for viewing throughout the event.
There will also be a themed basket Chinese auction.
Reservations are required as space is limited. Cost is $30 per person and checks can be made payable to Redbank Valley Historical Society, P.O. Box 74, New Bethlehem, 16242.
Guests are encouraged to wear red, white and blue for the occasion.
Physical tickets may also be purchased at the Redbank Valley Public Library, the Leader-Vindicator newspaper and the FUN Bank New Bethlehem location.
