READING, Pa. – Local breast cancer survivors took to the runway on Sunday in Berks County.
The Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County held its 11th annual Pink Passion for Fashion Show at the Double Tree Hotel in Reading.
This year’s theme was “Glitz and Glamour.”
Most of those who walked the catwalk were survivors of breast cancer.
The rest were local medical professionals who were nominated by breast cancer survivors to be part of the show.
“Today is really about them and their empowerment and they will rock that runway and it’s just amazing to be part of that,” said Michele Reinert, executive director of Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County.
The event raises money to support the organization’s mission of providing free programs and services to people and families impacted by breast cancer.
