The day kicked off with morning worship and a special message from Pastor John Coleman.
Following the service, the congregation gathered for a potluck meal and a time of fellowship and recollection.
Members also gathered to witness history, as the time capsule buried 25 years ago was unearthed and opened to observe its contents.

“The amazing thing is I’ve actually had the privilege of being the pastor here for about 26 years so we celebrated 150. I never believed that I would still be here to celebrate 175 so it’s just awesome,” said John Coleman, Pastor at New Bethlehem Baptist Church.
New Bethlehem Baptist Church meets on Wednesday evenings and Sundays, also livestreaming services on Facebook.
The church is located at 161 New Bethlehem Road in Dyer, TN.
