READING, Pa. – Police in Reading are investigating an incident that sent a man to the emergency room after being stabbed half a dozen times.
It happened just before 4 a.m. on Saturday when Reading Police were called to the 300 block of McKnight Street for a reported stabbing.
Arriving officers were alerted that the victim was transported to Reading Hospital in a personal vehicle.
Investigators say 26-year-old Saul Hernandez-Lopez allegedly approached and confronted the victim about an incident between the victim and Hernandez-Lopez’s girlfriend.
A witness described seeing a knife in the suspect’s hand as Hernandez-Lopez and the victim began physically fighting.
Once the fight was over, police say the victim noticed his injury and went to the hospital, where it was determined he’d been stabbed six times.
According to online court records, Hernandez-Lopez is not in custody at this time.
