To commemorate Memorial Day, the Pennsylvania Soldiers’ & Sailors’ Home will hold a ceremony on May 24 beginning at 1 p.m.
The ceremony will be held at the PA Soldiers’ & Sailors’ Home Gazebo located at 560 East 3rd Street. Captain Troy Bauder a U.S. Navy Veteran will be the keynote speaker for the event, music will be provided by Bay Front Bass, and the Colors will be posted by the McDowell High School JROTC and retired following a Three Volley Salute from the Wesleyville American Legion Post 571 Honor Guard.
The Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 197, will place a wreath on a flagpole within the grounds. The playing of Taps will conclude the ceremony.
