While rain may be in the forecast, many are already looking ahead to the upcoming Memorial Day weekend and for those planning a trip to the beach, Presque Isle State Park is ready.
Park officials have announced that several beaches will be open and staffed for swimming throughout the holiday weekend. Beaches 3, 6, 8, and 11 will welcome visitors from Saturday, May 23, through Monday, May 25.
Lifeguards will be on duty daily from 12 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., providing an extra layer of safety for swimmers as the summer season begins.
Presque Isle remains one of Erie’s most popular destinations during the warmer months, drawing both locals and visitors eager to enjoy Lake Erie’s shoreline.
