Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for multiple Northeast Ohio counties until 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for multiple Northeast Ohio counties until 10 p.m. tonight.

The counties impacted by the alert are as follows:

In addition, a severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for Erie County before expiring at 7:15 p.m.

The alerts from the NWS comes as we have a Weather Impact Alert out for this evening.

According to the 3News Weather Team, “more heat and humidity will be in place over Northern Ohio Tuesday with high temperatures in the upper 80s. A strong cold front will approach the region from the west Tuesday evening. Ahead of the that front, expect a line of thunderstorms to develop and slide through the area closer to evening. For now, we’ll say after 6 p.m. Damaging winds are the main threat.”
