Michael L. Moyer
OBITUARY
Michael L. Moyer, 84, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in the care of the Residence at Village Green. He was the loving husband of Carol A. (Matz) and would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on May 20th.
Born in Reading to the late Robert J. and Wilma M. (Luigard) Moyer, Michael graduated from Reading High School in 1959. He served in the Air National Guard from 1961 through 1967. While he worked at a variety of sales and service positions, his last employment was with the Berks County Intermediate Unit.
Michael was well known for his love for fire engines. He was an active member of The Society for the Preservation and Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus of America, and his collection of vintage fire engines (not just scale models!) was a source of joy and pride for him. He was a good, kind neighbor and friend. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle.
Michael leaves behind his cherished wife, Carol Moyer; his sister Roberta, wife of James Conroy, of Sinking Spring; his nephew, Matthew Conroy; his niece, Katharine, wife of Sean Gablehouse, and their children, Grayson and Carter.
He was predeceased by his son, Timothy M. Moyer.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading PA 19611. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
