JENKS TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A New Bethlehem man escaped serious injury after his vehicle traveled down a ditch and flipped onto its roof in Jenks Township on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a report by Pennsylvania State Police in Marienville, the single-vehicle crash occurred at 3:07 p.m. on Beaver Meadows Road, south of Palomino Lane in Jenks Township, Forest County.
Police reported that Corey A. Little, 27, of New Bethlehem, was traveling north on Beaver Meadows Road in a 2002 Saturn. The accident occurred when Little traveled off the berm of the roadway.
State police said the vehicle entered a ditch and traveled approximately 100 yards before flipping over. The car came to a final rest on its roof facing east.
Little refused medical treatment at the scene, reporting only a few minor scratches on his arm, police said. According to the report, he was not using a seat belt at the time of the collision.
The Saturn sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by East Main Service, police noted.
Assisting troopers on the scene were Tionesta Ambulance Service, the Marienville Fire Department, and local fire police.
According to the report, Little was cited for a traffic violation for driving at an unsafe speed.
