Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nolan Smith Jr. was arrested in Georgia.
Smith Jr. was driving 135 mph in a 70 mph zone. He made bond and was released about an hour after he was booked.
A court date for the case is set for July 14. Smith Jr. would not need to appear if he pays the fines associated with the citations.

Smith is the latest former or current Georgia player to be arrested for driving offenses. His Eagles teammate, Jalen Carter, was given 12 months’ probation and a $1,000 fine in 2023 after pleading no contest to misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and racing related to a crash that killed Bulldogs offensive lineman Devin Willock and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy.
Smith Jr. has been with the Eagles since 2023. He enters next season with 10.5 sacks, 46 solo tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 25 QB hits.
Smith Jr. helped the Eagles win Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Philadelphia won the NFC East again last season but lost to the San Francisco 49ers at home in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
