READING, Pa. – The Animal Rescue League of Berks County took pet health services on the road.
The nonprofit hosted a low-cost mobile pet clinic Thursday.
It set up shop at the Berks Community Health Center at Oakbrook in Reading.
Pet parents got the opportunity to make sure their pets are up to date on vaccines and could even get them microchipped.
“It’s important to make it easy in one location to reduce barriers, allow people to make an appointment and be able to take care of themselves and their pets at one time,” said Dr. Sarah Rivera, chief medical officer for the ARL.
The ARL has another clinic planned at the Berks Community Health Center Penn Street location in June.
