Two people face felony trespass charges after police say they broke into a house and threatened to “blow it up” on Monday.
Just after midnight, Scranton police were called to 1725 Lafayette St. on a report of tresspassing.
When officers arrived, they spoke with Heather Hoinowski, who said Trent Smith and Kayla Guthrie entered her residence through an unlocked window while she was upstairs in bed.
Hoinowski said the two made threats to blow up the house with her inside it, before fleeing in a Honda Pilot.
Officers confirmed Smith, 25, of Bellefonte, was wanted by law enforcement.
Neither Smith nor Guthrie, 33, of Monroe Avenue, Scranton, resided at the house, Hoinowski said.
Officers retrieved a purse Guthrie dropped as she fled. It contained a prescription bottle that identified her.
Smith and Guthrie each face charges of criminal trespass and making terroristic threats. Each remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $25,000. Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for June 1 before District Judge George Seig.
