ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Take a walk through our nation’s Revolutionary War history during the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum’s History Expo.
“The gallery itself is designed to take the viewer through a pictorial timeline of the American Revolution, through painting, through art,” said James Higgins, executive director at the museum.
The Revolutionary War exhibit features paintings of important moments in the fight for freedom.
Like The shot heard around the world at Lexington and Concord, Washington Crossing the Delaware, and Valley Forge.
The exhibit also examines the impact American Independence has had around the world.
“So it’s everything from the effect that the Declaration of Independence had on our own civil rights and women’s rights movements in America to global fights against, for instance, colonialization in places like India and Kenya,” Higgins said.
And if you are interested in Hollywood history, they’ve got that too.
Jon Provost who played Timmy on “Lassie” will be talking bout the iconic television series and his book, “Timmy’s in the Well.”
You can also see the Revolutionary War through the eyes of 200 Allentown students, from Eagles, to founding fathers and the flag.
The History Expo is Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and admission is free.
