WYOMISSING, Pa. – The rain is putting a damper on the annual Wyomissing Memorial Day Parade.
The parade was set for Saturday morning, but will now take place on Monday at 10 a.m..
Organizers say safety and protecting equipment have to come first.
“Right now we have about 13 different bands between marching bands, pipe and drum bands, the high school band that participate in this. Those guys have equipment and instruments and they can’t afford for that type of stuff to get wet,” said Randy McKinley.
The parade starts off at the Wyomissing Hills Elementary Center on Woodland Road, and concludes at Wyomissing Hills Memorial Park, where the Remembrance Ceremony will take place at the War Memorial.
